i have had one of my friends for fifteen years. she and i have had fights, and lost touch numerous times, but we always seem to get back in touch. we live a thousand miles apart right now.
i think any personal relationship takes compromise, and understanding. what characteristic? someone who gets my messed up sense of humor and likes me for who i am, not what they can use me for.

I have only a few. They all like me and I tolerate them kicking my but when needed... and vice versa \i guess.
I married one, that was (after 13 years) a big surprise.
