If you get a pregnancy blood test done at the doctor when do you get the results?

The test only takes 20 minutes but when you go to a doctor's office they will schedule you for another day and they make it seem like it takes forever to get the results back but it dosen't. You would be better off going to the er where you would know you are pregnant within an hour maybe sooner if the er is not really busy

You would get the results as soon they are done. It varies from person to person. There are some pregnancy tests where you can find out immediately that you are pregnant and then there are some that you have to go through processes like...giving blood for checking if you have a STD and when you are doing that the doctors will give you a pregnancy test and tell you in a few days. So like I said, it varies from what type of situation that you are in.

You will probably get a call directly from your doctor,or the medical assistant in the office. It depends on how many other lab test that have to be done on other patients. Your results should be ready in about 3 days.

Well when I had mine done, it was within like 5 minutes. But I was at the office and they just asked me to wait. I also live in a very small town. Depending on where you live and what type of insurance you may have....that office may prefer to send it to an outside lab.
If you are worried....call and ask? What is the worst that could happen.... :)

With my doctor it would be very quick! (we live in a small city and my doctor knows me personally and would tell me asap!)
But for other doctor i can't see why it would take longer than a couple weeks!
