I see!! You actually paid $28.01 for a medium pizza? I would have taken the pizzas and the bill and personally visited Pappa Johns. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. They can't just add on charges and tell you later why they did it.
When I order pizza I get a total over the phone and then add on for the tip. I am going to call our local Pappa Johns and ask them about their policy. I think you got screwed, my friend...........That is not right.
Why don't you call back and ask for a manager and see what he/she says about it?

I know for a fact that there has been a mistake somewhere. The first is if you order a pizza and it came from "Papa John's" this price is wrong but if you ordered a pizza from Pappa John's I'm not sure. I think, haven't worked there in a while, that the price of a medium pizza isn't over eight dollars so if you add the two together it wouldn't be more than twenty dollars. I know when I was employeed there we still did not charge for delivery, that may have changed but no more than a few dollars. If you still have the box just look at the label on it and see what the break down was on the prices, they sould be there if not than there is some sort of scam going on. I would say at the most with a delivery charge and tax you should not had to pay no more than twenty three dollars. The box also has a complaint number on it, just call it and they will get it worked out for you. This is still the best pizza company in the business and they do take care of their customers or at least we did.

I would call them today and ask for a breakdown of your order and charges, if you are saying a pizza was $12 and you added a med to it ( so lets just say for argument sake ) $12 that is $24 -- Now depending where you are tax is about 7% so that is about $1.70 so we are now at $26 roughly add in delivery at MAX $5 ( depending where you are ) your total should have been no more then $31 MAX
I would find out what you had that cost you a extra $9 as there is no way, i think someone miss calculated and you didnt say anything when you got it

Drivers get paid per trip and by tips.
That charge sounds like a lot. Most pizza delivery services who add a delivery fee are asking only a few bucks. Also, the delivery prices are set by the individual franchisee, not the company.
They're supposed to tell you what the delivery charge is when you order the pizza.

You were duped! Even with gas prices the delivery fee shouldn't be more than $3-4.00, or the price of a gallon of gas. The pizza places in our area charge $1.50-2.00 for delivery and they include it in our total when they give it to us over the phone. It's like any contract, know what you have to pay up front. No surprises. In the future you should ask for the complete total prior to hanging up. If complaining to the manager doesn't work I'd contact their headquarters. Here's the link to their feedback form on their website: http://www.papajohns.com/feedback/index.htm

You are lucky! This is your tuition to pay for some "smarts" before you graduate from the "School of Hard-Knocks".
Repeat after me...."A fool and his money are soon parted". This is not meant to be criticism, but part of your education. All graduates of this school ...been there, done that. Also, some never graduate, so study hard and learn easy.
The next time you order a pizza (or anything else) be certain to learn the total cost, keep your tuition low.

I think you got ripped off. I think the drivers and manager have a deal going to make themselves extra $$. Last time I got a pizza for a similar deal, My total came to just over $14.50. (including tax and delivery fee). Where did you order from? The next state over??

They overcharged you. Gas prices haven't went up THAT much! They should have told you the total price including delivery fee. Try a different pizza place.

This is simply another tactic businesses use to get the most amount of money. Keep in mind though, their drivers are reimbursed for the mileage.

You got ripped off. If you still have the reciept, I would go back in and demand to talk to the manager. That's BULL!
