I seem to think so. I see a lot of sentences passed down that are outrageously excessive, and I have seen figures showing that this nation has the highest number of incarcerated persons in the world.

What is wrong?

Yes some of the punishments in our legal systems are excessive and STUPID. How can Martha Stewart serve time and have to wear an ankle monitor for her "crime" but there is all kinds of child molesters and murders getting out and going on their merry way (with no kind of monitoring )to keep on molesting and murdering?

It goes both ways. Remember the 60 day sentence Judge Cashman gave to the sex offender of a 7 year old girl? It all depends on the judge in most cases.

THE SYSTEM IS NOT PERFECT AND NEVER WILL BE I SAY LET THE PUNISHMENT FIT THE CRIME AND DO UNTO THEM AS THEY HAVE DONE TO THEIR VICTIMS
