I think this is the best question ever. To me.
Most often, the one taking the photo. I have taken a picture or two in my day, of varying subject matter, and though I have also posed for my share, I very much prefer to be the one taking the pic.
It's not that I don't enjoy having my picture taken. I do, and if it's the right situation I like hamming it up for a camera. But there's something about being the creator of the image---The one who is capturing that immeasurably small moment of time---that makes me feel wonderful when I've done it well. Whether it's posing people the right way and saying something to make them smile genuinely when the image is created, or picking the right moment to click the shutter button during a candid moment, it's almost like having the power of some sort of memory God.

I would rather take a photo then be in it. I think it is easier for me to give someone direction on how to pose, or capture the memory best. I also think I take better pictures then some of my family and friends that I have to pass the camera off to (they always are afraid to get too close to the subject and leave all this excess space around it).
Plus, I think I can even get pretty artsy. Basically, I know what I want my pictures to look like, and being behind the lens lets me control that. When I'm in front of it, I try to pose, but I don't always know how it's going to turn out.

I am always the one taking photos! If anyone does try to take a photo of me I will threaten to break their camera! A couple times I found some pictures that people had taken of me and I ripped them up and threw them away!!

taking the photo no doubt. People never know how to take the picture; they don't choose the best background...I always have to say why do you want that in the back..this is much better over here. Also, why do they take so long to snap the picture? once every one is looking at the camera...take the picture....no reason to wait a minute.

I would much rather be in the photo. I'm a terrible photographer. All the pictures I take come out terrible. I like to be photographed by experienced photographers because that's the only time I come out looking photogenic!! :o)
