There is hate in the world because there is jealousy, insecurity, and fear.

There is far, far more love in the world than hatred. You see it every day -- from a kid opening a door at the mall for an old lady to millions of people helping out when a disaster hits somewhere in the world. You're just being influenced by the media which reports only the sensational news, which is usually negative and hate-related. When you are barraged 24/7 by this negative crap, you get to feeling that it's all there is. My advice is to start seeing the good in people and your personal outlook (and happiness) will improve. Always been that way, always will be.

Most scholarly discourse will tell you thal all war is based on power struggles. It is part of human nature to want to feel in control and to have power. But there is really no simple answer.

The closest I can come is to say that war and hatred and any kind of abuse to our fellows or to living things or to this planet is based on ignorance and a lack of compassion and connection to oneself and others.

Hatred is built on fear, and fear is built on ignorance - a lack of truly understanding of a culture or a person, group or situation.

Many are taught that hatred and persecution weilds power, the idea of oppressor and victim - the same power struggle that happens in war. To win is to have the power. But it is truly understanding your enemy and not hating them that gives one power. Because it is not about who gets the most toys before we die. It is about a life well-lived and loved.

People hate because they have been taught that hatred.

So why is there so much hatred in the world? I think the question should be more like why is it I only see so much hatred in the world? There is much love out there too if one turns away from the news (which is interested in selling drama) and sees the daily acts of love around one - right down to the person who takes the time to smile at you on the street. And - as with life in general - there are many things that just cannot be explained in life, like the death of a beautiful child, or the loss of love, or natural disasters.

Why is there so much love in the world in the face of all the hatred? I bet that would be an even tougher question to answer.

Hatred generates from intense dislike of a person or thing. Usually it has a background of betrayal involved and will probably be around in the world for a long time as betrayal is here to stay.

Hatred is the direct result from sin. Sin moves one to distrust, to envy, plot and to do other things that are opposite to love.

The questions should be: How can I experience love in a world were hatred is the way of the land? Interested on finding out, let me know.

Humans naturally use any method possible to better themselves, however short sighted. One example being terror leaders preying on the religious insecurities of young Muslims to achieve the leaders ends.
