Depends on what you're looking for. But there are a ton of sites out that promoting musicians, big and small. First place you may want to check out is www.purevolume.com, which has a lot of good bands big and small. There's also many other sites like that, including www.rocketradio.com and www.mylocalbands.com. If you're just looking for independant artists, there's www.garageband.com. Then lastly, there's a music database site that will track your plays and list your top artists for you at www.last.fm. I really like that last site. It's pretty cool and give you neat code's so you can add the lists to your myspace or blog.
