We evolved from a species of ape, and chimps also evolved from that same species. That species no longer exists, maybe because of too much competition from the chimps.

There have been several species which gradually changed from the ancestral ape species to the current **** sapiens. None of those "in-between" species exist anymore, again likely because they could not compete for resources with **** sapiens.

And no, evolution has not "stopped". It's not like we can look around and say "oh look, we're evolving". Evolution does not happen over a person's lifetime. The human species has changed since we first came into existence (for example, we are taller on average). This is evolution at work. Tens of thousands of years from now, there would probably be a population of humans that has been isolated from the rest of us and is now so different genetically that it can't interbreed with other 'humans' - this is the point when you have a new species.

There was never a half-human, half-monkey. Evolution is very gradual and the changes take place over many, many generations - not one generation.

So do you believe that all the other animals evolved to their current form, except for us because we're special?? We were just dropped here from the sky?

Go to a zoo. Look at a New World Monkey. If you aren't sure what one is, ask someone who works in the area. They are small and have a tail. Take a real good look. Now walk over to where the chimps are. They are quite a bit larger and don't have tails. Look at one real closely. Now look in a mirror.

All three of you had a common ancestor. Monkeys split off about 35 million years ago. Chimps and humans separated about 5.4 million years ago.

Things that happened 100 years ago, probably seems like a long time to you. Your Great Great Great Great Grand Father .... seems like he lived a long time ago. But that's just five generations. Look at pictures of relatives that lived a hundred years ago. If you really study them, you can see how different they are. And that's just in a hundred years. Try to comprehend how much change would happen over a million years. Then 5 million ... 30 million .... 100 million ... the earth is 4.5 billion years old.

The mere fact that you ask how humans have evloved from monkeys, proves you are completely ignorant of human evolution, and probably know nothing about the theory of evolution in general.

It is interesting that your ignorance is enough for you not believe (or in this case accept) something which has been so well corborated and studied.

Why don't you try researching the material before you come to a conclusion.

Yea you are right. Evolution just sounds so stupid. If you look at some of the theories they sound like some idiot made something up at the very minute a question arised. If we evolved from fish, monkeys whatever, why did we stop? Shouldnt we still be evolving from humans to something else?

WE DID NOT EVOLVE FROM MONKEYS! MONKEYS AND HUMANS BOTH EVOLVED FROM A COMMON ANCESTOR!

Why do people continue in the ignorant belief that evolution must be wrong if there is no extant creature or fossil that is half-monkey, half-Nigel?

Do you believe in spaniels? And you believe in dachsunds, too?
How can you, when there is no fossil evidence for a half-spaniel, half-dachsund? Do you even realize how silly the question is?

Your boyfriend is obviously a little brighter than you, way to go, girl!

We did not evolve from primates - we are of the primate relations - that's a way of classifying all residing issues to better appropriate understand the international. different primates are: apes, chimpanzees, and different monkeys, lemurs, etc... in reality, all of us originate from a similar remember billions of years in the past, yet ultimately a straight forward ancestor developed into the diverse species in diverse places and a form of transformations replaced into our ancestor. in this manner we are appropriate to all nature - quite extremely remarkable once you imagine of it. as far as we've got here across by ability of fossils, there are not any lacking links except for this ancestor, yet there's a sparkling line ensuing in human beings for the perfect 7 million years starting up with Ardipithicus afarensis. there have been also different varieties of 'relations' in this ancestory over the approach prehistory that did bypass extinct (like neanderthals), and we are proper this second the in reality type of human beings round - quite a diverse time as there have been numerous appropriate species of human beings at maximum cases in the previous.

I believe in evolution and also believe in God. I think the seven days is just given to simplify the story for us. I also believe that smarter monkeys are the missing link between us and the less intelligent monkeys.

There are probably a zillion skeletal remains already decomposed or laying at the bottom of the ocean that would fill in all the missing links.

I don't believe in evolution! I think it's a bunch of crap that non-believers came up with in order to justify thier ignorance.
