I had the same thing happen. I used m/s b4 bed and woke up sweating and burning and bleeding bright red. The irritation from the monistat was worse than the infection. I called the number on the monistat package and they said it DOES happen but is uncommon. They refunded my money (save the pack and call the number) and told me to go to the gyno. By the time I got to the gyno he said it could have been the monistat or irritation from the applicator. I think it was the monistat. I'll never use it again.

p.s. the bleeding went away a few days after the monistat did. It has to wear out as it is in a oily base and water is useless. I used the 1 time ovule... it was a nightmare.

If the Monistat irritated the lining of your vagina it could cause some slight bleeding, the douche may also have caused some irritation, if it is not close to the time of your schedule period, you'll want to call your OB/GYN if the bleeding becomes heavy, has lots of clots, or continues for more than a day.

NO, you may have torn the lining of the vagina, but obviously you had a reason to use the Monistat so I would call your Dr and get an exam he may know what is wrong. Bright red bleeding would be fresh blood, watered down would be less vibrant in color. Good luck

I suggest visiting your gynecologist. Sounds like you have or had a yeast infection and then you douched with water.

You may have irritated your vaginal walls by doing this. There are all sorts of good bacterium that live "down there" and douching can often remove those things that we need in our bodies to help fight infections and other things from popping up.

Definately go to the doctor. You may have had an allergic reaction to the Monistat. Check the package and see if they have a number to call for info, or just go to your gynocologist.

Douching is only if you want to feel refreshed its not for a yeast infection. If your bleeding when you pee it could be a urinary tract infection. Call your OB GYN ASAP.
