Well, there is a difference between between being knowledgeable and wise, in that wisdom often includes the ability to discern and use knowledge to help those around you. True wisdom will also eliminate pride, because you realize you don't know everything there is to know, no matter how long or hard you study. Many people think when they become "learned" they are also "wise," but it is important to stop and listen to those around you, because no one has a monopoly on knowledge or wisdom. I'm reading about Solomon right now and his famous decision about the baby that was claimed by two women, and how he received inspiration to use a sort of reverse psychology to get the real mother to act in such a way that her true identity was known.

In many ways, Wisdom is the ability to make correct judgments and decisions. Some think it is an intangible quality gained through experience. Yet others think it is a quality that even a child, otherwise immature, may possess independent of experience or complete knowledge. Whether or not something is wise is often determined in a pragmatic sense by its popularity, how long it has been around, and its ability to predict against future events. Wisdom is also accepted from cultural, philosophical and religious sources; in this sense, wisdom is often listed along side other virtues Insight, Knowledge, and Prudence. Some think of wisdom as foreseeing consequences and acting to maximize beneficial results.

Some people have given pretty poetic answers, but I figured I'd just be as clear as I could be:
* Knowledge is information.
* Wisdom is knowing the best way to use this information.
You learn wisdom through the following things:
* personal experience
* listening/examining other people's personal experiences
* imagining the results of using your knowledge a certain way -- so it's basically "imagined" experience.
That's why knowledgeable people can still act unwisely and be profoundly unhappy and unsucessful in life, while people with less knowledge can be fulfilled and accomplish a great deal.

Wisdom is knowledge that life gives you; it is in experiences that allow your mind and soul to grow so that you may reach your own personal state of enlightenment. You gain wisdom through experiencing life, making mistakes and learning from them. the difference between wisdom and knowledge is that wisdom is the acknowledgment that you truly know nothing, and knowledge is in accepting that.

Knowledge is the accumulation of information about the world.
But "wisdom" is the knowledge of living.
It's possible to accumulate tons of information about the world, but to know nothing about living. (have a lot of knowledge but no wisdom)
You can be brilliant in academics ...and be a dunce at relationships. You can be an expert in computers and technology and the internet ... and be an idiot when it comes to self-discipline. You can know how to fix a car, build a house, write a book, sing a song, heal the sick, run a business ... and know nothing of what it takes to really live life to the fullest. - (Knowlegable but not a wise person)

Q: What is the difference between wisdom and
knowledge, as in the gifts of same in 1 Corinthians
chapter 12? J.K., Brea, California
A: Wisdom is knowing what to do, how to do it, and the
proper timing.
Solomon and the prostitute’s baby. He had no
knowledge of who was the real mother, but used wisdom
to find out.
Matthew 21:23. Jesus answering His accusers asking
them, “Was John's baptism from men or from heaven?”
They selfishly answered, "We cannot tell,” because they
were afraid of the people who believed John's preaching.
Jesus wisely answered, “Neither can I tell you by whose
authority I preach and do these miracles.” It was by His
own authority, which they would have used against Him
before the proper time.
John 8:18 “I am one who bears witness of Myself, and
the Father who sent Me bears witness of Me.”
Knowledge is knowing from facts and experience, what
to do.
Luke 1:77 to give knowledge of salvation unto his
people In the remission of their sins…
1 Timothy 2:4 …who would have all men to be saved, and
come to the knowledge of the truth.
Romans 3:20 by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Acts 18:25 Apollos spoke and taught diligently the
things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.
Aquila and Priscilla took him unto them, and expounded
unto him the way of God more perfectly.

This knowledge comes from the Spirit opening the
mind to understand the scriptures.
Luke 24:45 Then he opened their minds so they could
understand the Scriptures. They had been taught by
the greatest teacher for three and a half years, but
just now had been given knowledge of what He
was saying.
1 Corinthians 2:13-14 These things we also speak, not in
words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy
Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
But the natural man does not receive the things of the
Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he
know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
This is why Christians can be in church and even
read their Bible and not have knowledge of what
they hear and read. They must allow Jesus and the
Holy Spirit open their understanding to really
understand what they read and hear.
Acts 8:30-31 So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading
the prophet Isaiah, and said, “Do you understand what
you are reading?” And he said, “How can I, unless
someone guides me?”
The church world needs people who seek and find
knowledge from the Spirit so others can understand and
experience things of God. The sad thing is that they can
only grow so far in God on someone else's knowledge.
People must seek Jesus and His Word for themselves to
reach maturity. That is why we have mostly babies in
the church.

Wisdom and knowledge are part of the seven
spirits of God.
Isaiah 11:2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon
him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of
counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the
fear of the LORD.
Revelation 4:5 There were seven lamps of fire burning
before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
Revelation 5:6 In the midst of the throne and of the four
beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it
had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes,
which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into
all the earth.
