class action suit was filed in the mid to late 90's, My name was on the list of inmates entitled to receive compensation. The paperwork was sent to my last known address but never received or filled out and returned. How do I collect?

your best bet is to contact a lawyer for a free consiltation.
depending on where you live, there might be a staute of limitation and you won't be able to collect at all. A lawyer would know best

If you were awarded a settlement and were not able to be located, the funds would be turned over to the California Controller's office. You can check to see if they have your money. Go to http://scoweb.sco.ca.gov/UCP/ to start your search.

Unfortunatley I dont think you can. Call your local ACLU chapter ...they must be good for something.
