Chris Martin: (born in Devon County) lead vocals, piano/keyboard and guitar
Jonny Buckland: (born in London) guitar, harmonica, backing vocals
Guy Berryman: (born in Fife, Scotland) bass guitar, synthesizer, harmonica, backing vocals
Will Champion: (born in Southampton)drums/percussion, piano, backing vocals
Coldplay started as a boyband, calling themselves Pectoralz - they played their first paid performance using the name "Starfish".
Their first release, "Safety" was an EP with a 500-print run - their next release, the EP "Blue Room" received a wider, 5000-print release. Their album debut was 2000's "Parachutes".
The band generally takes co-credit for all of their music and lyrics.
Martin and Buckland appeared in cameo roles in the movie Shaun of the Dead - they played supporters of the charity ZombAid.

Oasis. I know, they've been around for years, and are a very popular band. But where I live, not many people listen to them. Favorite song: Almost all of them, especially ones sung by Noel and not Liam. (Although the Liam songs are good too.) Never use chapstick, unless my lips are really chapped.

Actually, Coldplay is nothing more than Radiohead Jr. They are a complete ripoff band. If you ask me, they can go to hell.
