What are your main sources of information? I'm reading a lot of comments and questions on here that seem to come verbatim from the talking heads on television.

Between the lines, most of the news is just a bunch of homogenized crap. I lived in New Zealand for 4 years and
got a glimpse at just how slanted the US News reports tend
to be. National Public radio and BBS are fairly good news sources and PBS is also quite good- like the news hour. Switch on Fox News and watch me boil into a murderous rage- talk about brainwashing B.S.!

It doesn't really matter where a person gets their news. What matters is that the person has the ability to decipher it reasonably.
If I got my news from Fox, would it be more factual than news from some blogger? Depends on if I believe it or not. Do I believe Bush is having an affair with Condi? No. But, some newspapers are printing it as fact. I just choose not to believe it. It's really up to the individual to trust his/her sources.

I get most of my local news from a local channel and national news from CBS, however I do check the Internet for a different perspective so that I can try and make a informed decision on where I stand. I also read a local news paper mostly to see who died and to have something to wrap fish guts in as it is not a very good paper.

Your local news comes from local reporters in all medias(i.e, TV, Newspapers and periodicals, and the radio. The world news filters down from the main sources, Associated Press, United Press International and Rueter's. It then disceminates to the local media.

The News Hour with Jim Lehrer. I don't have cable and PBS is the only thing I get on TV. I have to admit though, I would watch it with or without cable. It give both sides to the argument. I like that.

I would have to agree with Yep, The News hour with Jim Lehrer is really good. They really go in depth.
I leave Faux News and The Communist News Network (CNN) for the wacked-out polarized nuts.

Although I have the newspaper delivered to me daily,as well as watching the news on TV, the "Internet" gives me more details. I can also find out what's going on in my area,as well as other places,before the newspaper hits my doorstep.

Newspaper in the morning. Evening news (local and national). PBS news. And, of course, Jon Stewart.
