Bush is the head of the Republican Party. It serves a few purporses - it allows the people to see what's happening across the country with this administration, it allows politicians to get a feel for for what kind of leverage/disadvantage a relationship with Bush offers, it shows that Bush is losing credibility and affecting any legislation he wants to get passes and his popularity will affect the outcome of the 2006 mid-term election. Basically, the less popular Bush is, the better the change the Republicans will lose seats in the House, the Senate, Governors offices across the country and state legislatures.

We all know that President Bush cannot run again. The purpose of these polls is for the democratic and republican party can start to gage the mood of the public.
This is important for two reasons: First, elections for both houses will be coming soon. And they want control. The democratic was to regain the senate and the house.
Second, we are a nation of needing to know. The polls only say what we the public tell them. What happened in the end, is something that we decide as a people.
Hope this has helped.

A popular president can bolster the party's popularity as well. Since the midterm elections are coming up, many Republican congressmen & women, governors, and seantors are up for re-election or trying to be elected to office. Bush's popularity (in this case, his low poll numbers) can affect the election by party affiliation (people will vote against Republicans because they identify them with the President) as well as affect anyone who identifie's with Bush's policies. That is why popularity polls are still used on a president in his second term in the White House.

Because the Democrats are behind most polls. They figure if his ratings keep falling, they will regain power. Now, with President Bush's popularity rising in their polls, they are confused even more than they were.

the popularity of the President effects the re-elections of all members of the republican party. The congress(for example) will use the results of the President's approval to determine whether or not to stand with or against the President on certain issues in order to sway the votes in their own re-elections. It's all smoke & mirrors. Politicians arent about beliefs and integrity. It is all about perception of reality.

The mid- term elections for congress are just around the corner. How popular he is affects not only his party, but the Democrats as well, because they will gain political advantage if he is unpopular.

People just don't have a clue. Maybe their not into current events, and choose not to see what he's done to our country,as well as Iraq. Americans need to stop walking around with "Blinders" on,and face the facts, that if we keep electing politicans like him, then this country will surely go up in smoke.

If Americans think Bush is bad, the republican party will look bad and will most likely not win the next election.
