in my first pregnancy i didnt have this problem, the line was bright and clear

Okay well I took an expensive ept test and then did an experience and took a dollar store test. sometimes if you read the box the box should tell you that the color in the line varies. Sometimes it will be darker or really light. If you have two lines then you are pregnant. But also make sure that you are not looking at the results 10 minutes because like the instructions say results after 10 minutes are not acurate. Best bet is to go to a drug store and purchase another pregnancy test. Good luck.

That line can only be there if there is a SPECIFIC hormone, one which can only be produced by a pregnant woman -
When did you take the test? First urine in the AM or when you got back from the dollar store?
First Urine has the most "stuff" (that gets picked up as the line on the test) therefore it would be the most "bright and clear" - however it could just be that this test doesn't always show super clearly -

I took 7 tests before one came out positive and it was just a faint line but if there's any line there at all then I'd say yes you're pregnant. Fasle positives are VERY RARE! You probably just dont have enough of the horomone built up in your system to make it real bright and clear. I took an extra one after mine came out positive just in case and sure enough it was positive again. So you can test again but I would just save my money and go right to the doctor.

If you got the second line within 10 minutes of taking the test then it is valid and that means you are pregnant.
It dosen't matter what brand of test you use they are all the same the only difference is the prices.
Go to http://www.peeonastick.com and it talks and shows results of pregnancy tests that come from the dollar store and others. Very helpful site

I took a dollar store test also, and the line was very faint, but sure enough, I am pregnant. I would call the dr, and they will test you again, but it would be good to get prenatal care as early on as possible!

I would take a second one just to know personally! With my second one, I got no line, but could not throw it away where I was so later I took it out to throw it away and there was a line clear as day.....do it again just to know! :) Good Luck! ANGEL

First time my wife tested positive, she went and bought two more kits. All were positive. When we told the obgyn this, she laughed and said that today's tests are very accurate first time around. There is no need to retest.

most probably it is a 'line' mommy
but make sure u use your first urine in the morning and...i took 2 tests from diff makes to be sure

The OB/GYN I used to work for would say if you weren't sure about the reading...wait 5 days and test again... then come in.
