It means that you can't judge someone by how they look, or judge anything just by apearance. just because the outside is plain, boring or ugly...doesn't mean you won't find something good inside.
You don't judge someone before you get to know them.

It's something that I believe, I mean, if everyone did it would sure stop sterotypes

People tend to judge others by their covering, however to truly know an individual you must see them from the inside out and not the outside in. Character is the true measure of a person, however skin color, size, weight, age and the attractive factor are what sighted people judge others by at first. The truth is there are many wonderful books inside of some worn, dusty, plain covers, while there are many foul, loathe some books hiding behind lovely, decorative covers.

Come to think of of it, No, i do no longer pay a lot interest to the front disguise. i can particularly remember all the covers of the books i've got offered & study. particular, it enables if the seen/image/shade(s) is gorgeous; the scale of the e book & font too. I continually study the synopsis on the decrease back of the e book, although. and that's an element of the "disguise" ;-)) each and every so often, fairly in case of non-fiction books, I look on the Index, too. It provides me an concept of what the author is attempting to argue / disguise, content textile-clever. particular, Titles have each and every so often caught my interest & it makes me decide for to %. up the e book & look on the synopsis. some such books i've got offered because of the fact the call first caught my interest : "Mister God, that's Anna" , "track Birds" , "God On God" , " The final Lecture" , "A Cup Of convenience" , "existence without Genes" . *~*

its true to an extent, but why shouldnt the cover say something about the book? as people, shouldnt we make an effort to have our 'covers' match who we are, so that people can know us better? its an ok phrase, but not as true as people think . . .
