I prefer the good old fashioned Watercolor and Acrylic. I'm not into expressionism. I think you can express your self enough with watercolor and brushes. Everyone paints differently and you can really show how YOU see a view or object, rather than the way someone else might see it. You can use whatever colors you want also, which is nice. Not a big fan of abstract art....

The most creative form of art is the mind. The imagination is a powerful tool. Look at the things that are created from books, movies, photos, inventions, just everything you look at. .
Just the things that we think about, that we day dream about and dream of when we go to sleep is just amazing in itself.

Paintings in the Renaissance. I think they're just beautiful; the perfect mixture between reality and fantasy.
Nowadays painters seek to be anatomically correct and draw perfect proportions. But at the same time they randomly decide to use weird colors to symbolize that the world is ending, which gets boring after a while.
And I like sculpture too, but in present time it's been reduced to making 3 dimensional stick figures and "abstract" loads of crap, and it's just disgusting.
That's only my opinion, though. =)

some thing will be executed creatively, and compared to the international of corporation the position there are absolutes, creativity would not require competition even among the various medium. it will be no longer available to price one paintings kind as "more desirable" imaginitive than yet another. i wager you should assert sculpture and architechture create the heaviest weighing paintings products, so that they do create the most kilos of paintings. therefore they could be categorised as "the most imaginitive".
