In theory, yes...the fetus will be tucked behind the pubic bone still, and if the altitude pressure doesn't affect you if you are in a non pregnant state ie no O2 mask, then it will not affect the mother or the fetus.
BUT....there are no studies done to test this theoretical assumption, and if anything happened to the fetus, if it was a result of the skydiving or not, you both would be devastated.
It seems an unreasonable risk to take in my opinion...and I would think that most pregnant women would forgo any risky activity for the sake of the health of their child, and I bet she doesn't want to be included. In my experience a lot of pregnant women not only reduce their risk taking activities (on their own, no nagging from the midwife!) they also reduce the risk taking activities of their partners, lots of men give up diving, motorbiking, climbing etc for a while...til the kids are older. No one wants to raise a child solo.
Having a child changes your life...mostly for the better. Think of this as a nine month prep course : )

Any body can jump out of a perfectly good airplane. Its how you re-connect with mother earth that must be considered (and whether your insurance would cover her if things don't go well. You may end up paying for the complications out of pocket!) Does that sound like fun?
I think you're blowing this "no more fun stuff" thing way out of proportion. What makes you think you can't do it sometime after the birth?
You both don't plan on never seeing the sun again for the next 20 years do you?
You need to talk with people who have kids and find out how they manage to arrange the occasional "great escape".
I think you'll find that, although parenting is a tough job, it is also the best one you'll ever have. You just have to schedule your time and include fun on the agenda.

i cant believe u r even mentioning this!!
and what do u mean by 'fun' - being a dad is the best thing in the world. help your wife feel good about this and care for her instead of making her feel bad about not being able to take part in your daredevils
and NO she should NOT be skydiving - especially if she is less than 3 months pregnant.
i think u should get a book of pregnancy and read it
i would like to mention it that during the 1st 3 months, the foetus is very vary delicate - and very close to death. pls dont be crazy

Even if the risk is minimal, would the risk be worth it?
Sky diving does have it's dangers, even of you aren't pregnant. Even the most experienced sky divers have gotten hurt on dives and if you are a new sky diver, the risk is that much more. I have a girlfriend that sky dives and after more than 50 jumps on her own, she messed up her ankle really bad and ended up in the hospital for awhile.
Imagine being pregnant AND on crutches at the same time. Ugh!
I'd wait and go sky diving after the baby is born just to be safe. You could get a baby sitter on a Saturday morning and do it then. Sky diving is considered a high-risk sport for a reason.

No. As soon as your wife became pregnant, she would not be able to sky dive. It, along with riding roller coasters, can cause placental abrubtion which leads to miscarriage.
Try to do activities you both can enjoy.
And kids are tons of fun. Life doesn't become boring because your wife is pregnant.
Take care and have fun doing so activities pregnant women can enjoy.

Even though ski diving is a safe sport--or at least that's what i think of it--i wouldn't advise you to let her do it... at any stage of gestation ---some times like in any sport accidents happen and your don't want to put her and your unborn child's life in jeopardy --just wait until your son is born---good luck and enjoy--now if you have never done if before --it is going to be the thrill of your life!!!!

As with scuba diving and anything that changes pressure that fast....
It is not recommended. It's not safe for the baby.
Your "fun" time will not just stop once baby arrives.
Having a baby is not that bad.
You'll just have to find a babysitter.
