I am a Christian, as were those who decided to print "In God We Trust" on our money. The Bible says that "it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God." This is because we do have such a tendency to material-minded. To me, "In God We Trust" is not a way of setting money as a false idol, but an acknowledgement of God, from whom our material blessings come. Every time money changes hands, God is acknowledged as the Provider, if in a small way.

The dollar says "In God We Trust". So do all the other denominations of currency that I have in my back pocket. But you've got it backwards. The God is true. Everything to do with God is worth knowing about.
It's the money any everything it can buy that is false. Money is not the root of all evil. But the love of money (putting God into second place) IS the root of all evil. Money is only a tool. The same as a screwdriver or saw. It's what you do with it that decides if it's good or evil.
I've a question --when is it superficial and greed? With my income, depending on who you are and your status you might class me as greedy or maybe you wouldn't.
To the person who says there's NO evidence GOD exists. Maybe the universe started with a big bang. But what made the bang? Someone made the money so you say it's real. But without someone makeing the money it doesnt get made.

There is no evidence that God exists. There is, however, ample evidence that money exists. So, by that standard, it makes more sense to place faith in money (which is clearly there in a concrete sense) vs. God (who is almost certainly only a figment of human imagination).
