The black market or underground market is the part of economic activity involving illegal dealings, typically the buying and selling of merchandise or services (for example sexual services in many countries) illegally. The goods may be inherently illegal (e.g. weapons or illegal drugs); the merchandise may be stolen; or the merchandise may be otherwise legal goods sold illicitly to avoid tax payments or licensing requirements, such as cigarettes or unregistered (often Warsaw Pact-era) firearms. It is so called because "black economy" or "black market" affairs are conducted outside the law, and so are necessarily conducted "in the dark", out of the sight of the law.
Black markets develop when the state places restrictions on the production or provision of goods and services that come into conflict with market demands. These markets prosper, then, when state restrictions are heavy, such as during a period of prohibition, price controls and/or rationing. However, black markets are normally present in any given economy.

I believe this is an actual term. It takes place in many lines of work. Music, weapons, antiquities, clothing, and many other stolen items which are waiting to be fenced. If someone is willing to pay enough money a salesman with a product will emerge...legal or not.

Yes, that's exactly what the black market is.
The simple black market is when you trade things illegaly, pay not taxes when buying selling an item, and/or buying/selling stolen items.

The black market applies to things that are not legal, hard to obtain or simply cheaper. Copies apply here too.

Its actually a economics term. It refers to a product that isn't taxed or monitored by a state or federal agency. Like drugs, like pot, coke or whatever. There is no taxation or monitoring, but its still sold

It's an old term and, yes, I think so on all your points. The only barometer is the heart of man and the depths to which it will go, and this - legion.
Truth is stranger than fiction, and so it is.
