Would you want your boss to treat you this way?

I think Arizona has a secondary license plate option saying "Being a child should not be painful" but you don't want to plagiarize that. From a Mormon point of view, we believe that all of us are children of God. If you are religious and able to use religious references in your school, you could use a child's face that looks sad and the saying, "I am a child of God. How do you treat me?" Or you can do a variation of that. If you want a non-religious reference, you could say something like, "Child abuse cases cost the state $12,785,245.00 last year, but the biggest cost was the loss of innocence." (Or you could substitute the word "trust" or "love" in the place of "innocence.") I don't know what the statistics are for your state - that was just a number picked out of the air. Good luck.

Maybe you could show a child crying and a parent about to hit them and on the other side an angry young teenager hitting on a smaller child. Showing the before and after. "When will it stop?"
or
Show a continuous picture (bigger to smaller) of a parent with a hand up to hit a child. Maybe with a slogan that says "Stop the cycle of child abuse!"

You could put something down to the effect of "If you wouldn't beat up a random person, why even lay a finger on a child". Some variation placing emphasis on a situation where people choose not to be violent and then connecting it to violence against children.

Hope that helps.

You could show a crying child without bruises and say - sometimes words hurt worse than hitting.
