As a former Border Patrol Agent, between 1,300 - 1,500 illegals per day actually make it into the US and another 500-1000 get caught by the US Border Patrol and sent back to Mexico voluntarily. I would say that 90 % of those crossing illegally are Mexican while the others, called OTM's (other than Mexican) are from Central and South America with some Asians and Middle-easterners sprinkled in. Many of these who are sent back cross again and are successful in making it into the US. Since President Bush has mentioned this guest worker program, the numbers of illegal aliens crossing the southern border has increased dramatically.
