when i go to egypt and ive been several times now. ive always collected my visa from the airport on arrival. it costs 15.00 english pounds for each person. even the children. you can however get a visa from your own country which is a lot cheaper than the airports in egypt. with my family i have to pay 60.00 if id gone to to the passport office here i could collect a family one for 18.00 so there is a big difference and itll take just 1 week or so to process.

you can get your visa at any egyptian airport. make sure you have cash to pay - either egyptian pounds or sterling. you can also get one from the egyptian embassy in london by filling out a simple form but you need a photo of yourself when doing it this way - same day collection but phone consulate for details beforehand. You can also get a multiple entry visa this way if you are thinking of returning within 6 months and its therefore cheaper and avoids the queue for visas at the other end.

I think that visitors from European Union countries don't need visas for Egypt. They dont need visas for most countries of the world, and especially tourism countries

Contact the Egyptian Embassy in your country for the definite answer. Offices of Egyptair, or some leading travel agents may also know.
