You may not be aware, but there is a possibility that you have met a random stranger in a chatroom and then walked past them in the street only a few months down the road...I mean, the odds are slim but it must happen?

The chances are amazingly better than you think, but then maths kick in. Purely randomly speaking, assume you've met 100 people online. There are roughly 6billion people in the world, so the chances of these one of these 100 people being picked at random is 60,000,000 to 1. So if you meet sixty million people "down the street", the chances are one of them you met online.
But, it's not like that in reality. In reality, there might be only one billion people on the internet, or you've made more friends than just a thousand. And should you join a site for a particular country, like My USA or Yahoo UK Only (both fictitious websites), then the numbers and chances drop considerably. Even more so if they are more local to you (like a website for your city's council or a local association).
The actual chances of meeting someone are more like a thousand to one, but this is assuming you meet and talk long and deep enough to find out you both belong to the same site/chat room/etc.

Could well have but dont see many people in avatar masks down the street. Would be interesting but only if it were the nice ones and not the freaks!

it is weird the person sitting next to you on a bus might know all your deepest darkest secrets would make a good film though lol
