I like "theonlybeldin"'s point of view on this one. I think the US does have a chance, on a few conditions. Arenas (sp?) has to put up a lineup that the US team is used to playing, and it has to be at least a 4-4-2. None of that 5 midfielder crap he pulled in the first game. And I think the extra offense is necessary, because of what Beldin said, the first goal is going to dictate the game. However, there are a few drawbacks. First they are playing in Europe against a European team...the US often seems to go to Europe and get their butts kicked. Secondly, Italy has a decent offense, always had. Even if they arent at full strength, they will be a dangerous team, and the US defense is going to have to step it up. I would personally like to see some crazy playing out of Onyewu, I think hes got a shot at holding down the fort.

My prediction: a one goal margin, US over Italy, either 1-0, or 2-1

We'll see what happens tomorrow at 3pm!

The USA will probably never beat Italy before at least 12 more years.

They can, if they play with all their potential, but Italy is on of the best teams. If US gets itself together from the last loss, then it might beat them. But i think
Italy 3- USA 1

Italy doesn't have a great team right now, but I don't think USA has a chance to beat them. I think Italy will win.

With nothing to lose, it's going to have to be an all-out attack. They won't be able to sit back with a -3 goal differential.

Italy will try to get an early goal and sit on it, so Keller's got to be on his game.

If the US falls behind early, it's probably over, as Italy will simply pack it in. They need to get a lead and force the Italians to play offense. A lot in this game hinges on the first goal.

If the U.S. shows the same lack of effort that they did against the Czech Republic, not a chance.

Whomever at FIFA decided that the U.S. should be ranked 5th in the world rankings should be slapped silly.

Not a slight chance, even if Italy's not at its best.
