Watch out for card shops. If the card is of high value, they may try to swindle it out of you if they think you do not know what you have. There are plenty of online card shops that will appraise the card for you.
Loften has been a great player although I don't believe he has attained hall of fame stats.

It's probably not worth all that much. Star rookies aren't actual rookie cards. They are produced in the players 2nd year after a good rookie season. Maybe 50 cents to a dollar if I had to guess (and that is just a guess).

i saw it on line for about 14.00. keep it and pass it on to a relative and years down the road it may be worth something. Usually they're not worth alot unless you get the card signed.

Try entering the card at

www.bbonly.com
and you can always go and see if there are any being bid on at e-bay or yahoo action, that should show you what someone is willing to pay.
