My sister has had sex. She said she used a pill, but her boyfriend didn't use a comdom. My sister is 17 and i'm worried about her getting HIV leading to death. She said she's not going to tell our parents. But I for sure am. Does HIV or AIDS always lead to death eventually?

If your sister isnt being smart about sex tell it to her straight that she needs to have her boyfriend wear a condom. If that doesnt work, tell your parents. It would really be bad if she got sick and you could have maybe prevented it by stepping in. HIV and AIDS will not always lead to death, it depends on the stage and how the persons body reacts to it. Tell your parents, dont have regrets. If you catch it early enough it can be managable with treatment. I dont think shes never gonna trust you again. She may be extremely grateful when she gets older and realizes what could have happened.

Your sister is 17 and can make decisions for herself. It is not your place to tell your parents. When you turn 17 and start having sex and the like, you will not want people talking about you or telling on you.
HIV leads to AIDS which leads to death, yes. But having sex without a condom doesn't always lead to HIV. The guy she's having sex with has to have HIV or AIDS in order for her to get it.

its not the case that HIV or AIDS lead to death but they lead to other diseases which might lead to death. but r u sure that ur sister is infected with HIV. to be sure of that u must find out whether her boyfriend has HIV if he does not have HIV then ur sister is safe dont worry. Just to feel safe get ur sister to perform some HIV tests like ELISA

Yes your right your sister needs to learn to tell her BF that he needs to learn how to wear a condom or there not having sex anymore... Plus your sister can still get pregnant even if she's on the pill... The pill is only 97% eff. thats only if she takes everyday when she is supposed and if she doesnt miss a pill... So yes she needs to be taking the pill and having him wear a condom because she will be protected form every STD and getting pregnant

Of course it can lead to death unless to take expensive medication all her life and be in pain but who's to say that will work. However it's her life and even though your just trying to look out for don't hate and tell on her. I know you don't want to be the one she hates so just tell her how you really feel and let her take it from there.

Yes.
There are other STD's to worry about.
Not just Aids.
She should be using a condom
It is NOT your place to tell your parents.
This will push you and your sis apart.
Tell her she needs to be smart if she's going to be having sex.
She should ALWAYS use a condom.
No matter what the situation or what the boy says.

It doesn't, but it very commonly leads to death. You are absolutely right that you should tell your parents. STDs are as bad as pregnancy. Tell her that you're going to tell your parents and also tell her that she needs to use a condom when having sex.

death comes eventually to us all
your sister needs education on how to have safe sex encourage her to make an appointment with planned parenthood right away
I don't think you necessairly need to involve your parents in your sisters sex life 17 is perfectly normal age to begin having sex, but she should be doing it safely
good luck
