Yes, I think so. It must be the lack of understanding that makes us so ignorant towards them.
These people must be feeling it very strongly that they are "different" - they must be feeling repulses when it comes to the opposite sex and attraction to the same sex as theirs... and besides this, they are just as human as we all are..... just saw a movie last night about a lesbian couple in WW2 in Germany... one of the girls was also Jewish, not only lesbian... the movie is based on a true story - I was impressed by the deep "humanity" of their story.
They are jealous, they are fighting... they make peace just as "regular" couples do! They share roles and responsibilities and they do fall in love... the feeling of love is just the same..... they don't love just 'anybody' - the are also looking for the Right one..... which is double difficult because they have a smaller space than heterosexuals to move and search in!
Yes, I think such movies should be on TV more often - it is a great story and very human!
"Felice and Lily" is the title..... or something similar... you cannot hate and despise lesbians after having seen such a heartbreaking story!
They are just too sweet and lovely and human.

I would tend to agree with that to a point.
Too often we throw around the word "homophobic" when sometimes it's just a plain difference of opinion.
I have a friend who is a gay male, I disagree with his lifestyle. He knows it, we've discussed it but it doesn't make me homophobic. Now if I ran in the opposite direction every time he said 'hi' that's homophobic.
As for inspiring hatred, yes those are the uneducated people, who refuse to become educated.

i think that many people are targets of hatred, but it seems that those being hated are drawing attention to themselves by anouncing that they are persicuted. i'm not saying that they are the only ones throwing stones. plenty of us throw stones at things we don't understand.
i once saw a program where a young married couple anounced that they were targets of persecution. they were middle-class, young white people and why did they think people hated them? because they had both sterlised themselves. they decided they didn't ever want kids and went to measures to make sure of it. give me a break! there might be people around them that thought it was a stupid idea, but all in all, we live our lives.
gays, lesbians, blacks, christians, poor, rich, we all have ignorances towards other people and we are all in it together.
how about instead of you trying to make me accept you, you make a choice a accept me. i can't change you and vice versa. you can't 'educate' people to love. you can only choose to love others.

I agree with you. Ignorant people do carry the most hatred. Because of their ignorance they hate people who are different than them. People need to be better informed and educated.

Nope! Clear your minds people... Being homosexual has to do with your genes as well as the contribution of the environment. This has no rehabilitation stage as you guess!

Yes, I do. But, I doubt it has to do with education. It has to do with up bringing.
