I came across an awesome tennis raquet, but it said it was meant for players with a rating between 5.0-6.0. How do I find out what rating I am?

The United States Tennis Association used to publish a rating guide....you used be able to closely rate yourself.....unless you are from Corpus Christi, Tx....all of their players fall at least 1-2 tiers from their actual ability.....and they win all the time....."go figure"....seriously, haven't played tennis competively....could never seem to get passed the Corpus district......check with USTA...maybe they have a web site and might have the ratings on it.......really don"t worry........unless you have been playing a really long time the type of racket does"t matter.....get a good reasonably priced one and then after you really get serious or better then you can think about upgrading.....besides, by that time you may have a "Nike" or "Wilson" endorsement contract and you will have to play with what they furnish you......"good luck on the tour"

you can buy any tennis racquet you want according to your feel.
theres nothing called a rating or anything like that. you should buy
a tennis racquet according to the strength of your arm.

that dosent mean anything
ignore that and make sure
the tennis racket has a
comfortable grip.

well if your in a tennis league theyll tell you otherwise dont worry about it and get the racket if you want it.

those rackets can be for people who suck, just get what feels right for you. grip, stiffness, and headsize is important to me
