Put a gallion of Clorox in your well , that should clear it up for awhile... that will remove the iron deposits...I lived in Ohio....we did it about three times a year....

You have either high iron content that the filter is unable to clear out completely, or your source originates in a swamp or bog somewhere. You may want to have the water tested and see what the tester's recommendation is. You may need a different type of filter.

Depending on where you live you might have a lot of iron in the soil, or your soil(groundwater) might be acidic. you might want to look into installing a reverse osmosis water purification system with salt tanks. Can be purchased at Lowe's or home depot costs a little, but your water will be safer to drink.

Well.....this is strange!!

If you have changed you filter then it means maybe some dogor animal peed on it.

Or maybe the well water has some chemical in it.

My suggestion : Drink tap water!!

You need to have someone come out and test your water.

Are you sure your pipes have not rusted?
