Try to clear some space. Go to My Computer Right click on your HD and choose Properties >> disk clean up. Go to More Options and remove old restore points. This will take a few minutes but you usually get a good amount of space back. As soon as you are done create a new restore point and THEN try to reinstall the game.

My suggestion is to add more memory because it is very cheap nowsdays. One option is to turn on or increasure the size of virtual memory. Go to Control Panel -> Adminstrative Tool -> Computer Management -> Right Click on Computer Management and select Properties. Click on the Advanced tab and click on the Setting button under Performance. Click on the Change button at the bottom under virtual memory. You can increase the virtual memory size so you can run the game. But it may not run as fast as real RAM. So I suggest to spend the money on RAM. If you play other games, you are likely to need the extra memory anyway.

If you numbers are accurate it looks like your hard drive is near capacity and does not have enough room to either fully install the game or so that it can operate properly. See if there is a smaller install available...most games have 2-3 install options.

12 kb or 12 mb?

if this is for ps2, you will have to delete some previously saved games.
power up your console with no game in the disk drive.
go to the memory section.
highlight the older game files that are there (the ones you don't want to play any more) and delete them until you have the required amount of space left.

Get a stick of RAM and put it in your computer, because you dont have enough memory to run gta 3. You can do it yourself or have computer tech. people do it for you. You can get them at Best Buy, and they will install it for you. Or, maybe somewhere like Comp USA or Circuit City.

Install more memory in your computer, or make sure that you don't run anything else that uses memory.
