well apart from not having a clue where to start,i would,nt mind any of you experts out there to put me in the right direction
1.what will i need,i.e software,hardware,cables,modems and routers,ect
2.can i use my existing broadband router from my i.s.p
3.will having a server on the home network slow down my normal internet connection?

I am not selling this. I ran across it because I had similar questions as you.

Check your ISP terms of service if you'd like to serve from home.
ISP's have different regulations and/or requirements.

Hope this helps!
