As an avid anti-fur believer, I can't believe the ultimate cruel thing that got sent to me by email. In some other country, animals had their necks broken and were being skinned alive! I cried. What r some opinions on this horrible thing?

If you have to do it for survival I think it's OK, if you do it just to sell something forget it.

98% of it is lies. It's twisted and held up to get the shock value and get people to believe their stance. The FACTS are some of the things held up haven't been used for YEARS. DECADES. Skinned alive - not legal here. There's far too much lies and misinformation sent through emails and websites (and their links of course always back them up, never showing both sides and letting people make up their own minds).
Obviously not what you wanted to hear but you asked for opinions. PeTA and other AR groups use animals for income every bit as much as the ones they protest using animals for income do. And they do it for FAR more income - millions per year over the farmer they raided based on misinformation.

FUR Has been worn by humans for as long as we have been around.
as soon as we found it was more comfortable to wear the fur of our dinner, we started making clothing out of it.
i would rather wear regular clothes, but if fur was all i had to keep covered and warm, then i would kill the animal myself.

In an advanced society where materials can now be man-made, there is no reason to wear real fur.

i hear ya. i just read my kids the story of 101 dalmations. the witch was going to make a coat out of those cute puppies. but, think about the ribs, hamburgers, ham, chicken, fish, and oysters you eat everyday. those poor animals are born to die. just eating away everyday to get fat so you can eat them.

I think its horrible to kill any animal just for their skin. I mean what the world be like if we got killed for our skin?

lets see....for me to go naked without any fur....i would have to shave my man "fur" and women would have to shave their fur....we all have fur!!!!
