Socialism. Trickle down economics has put more people in the poor house than it has helped. When money is the ruler of the country you only get what you pay for. Corruption, greed, and scandals.

The be completely honest, I truly believe that if every country in the world operated on capitalism, we'd be a lot better off. Why? Well, even though there are some major flaws in capitalism, its far more efficient than communism, socialism and certainly facism. People need to be free, markets need to be free. Now, does that mean to go ahead let huge corporations do as they wish with little to no consequence? Absolutely not. However, a free market does give birth to a good ecomony. I realize that there are communism/socalism supporters out there they will fight this to the bone, and honestly, I kind of used to feel the same way. However, after you talk to people that moved here(the U.S.) from Russia, you realize how treacherous communism can be. When capitalism is the norm, I've found out that it doesnt alienate poor, but it does motivated the intelligent. If you lived in communist Russia and you knew that regardless of how hard you worked, your life was still going to suck turtle-dick, would you put any effort into your life? F*** no, you'd hang out and drink Voldka. When you know that the harder you work, the more you learn and the faster you hustle, you'll receive a greater reward, then thats the answer. Now I'm not saying that some people do not need/deserve a helping hand, that would be absurd, but the welfare system right now is totally out of control. Its nothing short of destructive, much like every other Government program in existence. Ya, thats all.

I'm not sure there is a good answer for that question: every nation and every population has a different history, a different context, a different set of values and priorities. And sometimes a government has to change its way of behaving when faced with major challenges (do you recall how many rights Lincoln stripped from the American people when the Civil War was underway?), so timing is an issue as well.
I am an American & I believe in democracy, but I am not so tunnel-visioned to believe that the American way should be the way of the world. The best government for every country in the world is the one that the people of that country choose for themselves (tyranny is an obvious exception because the people's choice is not involved.) The only way a population will evolve in their understanding of the rule of law is for them to live through the growing pains and take charge of their own destinies. Just MHO.

I would have to recommend a republic, similar to how the U.S. had to form a republic after the confederation (which the UN is right now) failed without central power, we formed a republic. A republic can lead us down a mostly peaceful road to more liberal ideas such as Socialism, or what ever the political climate chooses to be.

I like the way the Republic works in the USA and most other countries that use this system.
The people have some say through their representatives, but there is not a vote of the entire people required for every single thing.

On paper, Communism, it doesn't work when applied to the real world though.
Look at the way Finland's government and government programs work, I think that is the best out there.

Whichever the people of a country decide by one man one vote.
That doesn't mean that they will choose democracy, It doesn't mean anything.
What it means is that One Man - One Vote should decide what kind of government the world should have.
