Yes, I absolutely do every month. Cramps, bloating, pain is horrible.
I've been to the Dr several times for this, and all of them say the same thing... take Motrin. However, take it cramps come. One Dr explained that there is a series of chemical reactions that in the end causes cramping. By taking meds before the chain of chemical events finishes, you prevent the cramping from starting altogether. You can do this by taking the meds just before the period starts, and continuing on a regular basis during the period, even if you're not having pain.
If you do wind up with severe cramping, try mixing Ibuprofen and Tylenol together, they work better when mixed. I take 800 mg of Ibuprofen and 500 mg (xtra strength) of Tylenol. You can also try a heating pad, a hot bath, blankets, hot chamomile tea (or any hot beverage), lots of water, and plenty of rest.

I'm 24 years old and I get horrible cramps. I have tried everything underneath the sun for the time of the month and nothing worked. I gave up on birth controls and Advil due to my stomach issues and everything made it worse. I got sick from it. I have been going gluten free for 2 1/2 years and since I have cut gluten out of my diet my cramps seems to be better! Also I eat ginger chews and have turmeric tea and ginger tea. It truly helps with your time of the month! Good luck and I hope you can find some relief. I know how you feel.

Rebel, this is very normal almost 1 out of 5 women experience back pain and awful cramps in the abdomen.Acute back pain is treated with muscle relaxantsor nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as ibuprofen or aspirin. Applications of compresses using heat or cold also can be helpful to some patients.

I know what you are going through. I have awful cramps also. I have found that a heating pad or a warm/hot tub of water soothes the cramping and the water will actually help the bleeding to slow down some.

It sounds to me that you might have endometriosis. Have you checked it out with your gynae before? This condition can aggravate the hormonal effects of the menstrual cycle, as well as cause you more pain than most women. It's advisable to have it checked out by your gynae. To help relieve the pain a little, try a heat pack around your lower back and abdomen. Burning lavender essential oils can also help calm you down. The feeling full might be the effect of the menstruation itself, as many women feel bloated during the first few days of it. To help relieve that, try taking small meals a few times a day, rather than 3 full meals a day. Also try drinking lots of water so the blood doesn't thicken up, and causing you further discomfort. Try not to take gas-producing foods such as beans, white rice and pasta, and cabbages to prevent excessive gas production.

I used to have all those problems all the time as a teenager. I am now 23 and have had 3 kids...with each child my cramps adn symptoms get a little easier to deal with. When I was a teenager, I had to go to sleep to get them to go away. I would have fevers adn throw up cause they would hurt so much.
Now, I drink several mugs full of Raspberry tea...and it takes all my symptoms away, or at least very easy to handle.

Get some muscle relaxers from the doctor and take 3 advils or aleves every 4 hours. It might help if you lay flat on your back with some pillows under your knees with a heating pad or do some light stretches.

I know what you are going through; however, I haven't found anything that even slightly eases my cramps, stomach or back pain. I have tried everything that the other people have said to try and nothing works.
