Hi ..The mind.. is something very different from the brain... It is our awareness of the world, the terrain of our reasoning and beliefs... Science can't explain the human mind, culture or our creative artifacts (books, sculpture, movies), but we can ..certainly tell you a bit about the biology of the brain...
We all have the same brains made up of massive networks of neurons as well as other cells and structures such as blood vessels, yet we think, feel, and react in our own special way. This happens because the experiences we have through our bodies interacting in the world are so wide and varied. Our languages, cultures, activities and friendships also provide for varying perspectives and perceptions. Our environment helps shape what our mind is to become...
Kind regards!:)

The brain is the physical container for the mind. In other words, the brain is the collection of gangleons and neurons and all those other bits and pieces. The mind is what happens when they all connect and get working. The mind allows you to understand information that the brain processes. For example, if you put your hand on a hot stove, the brain will collect information from your hand that something is going on. The mind will translate that information and decide that it's time to remove the hand from the hot stove, and the brain will relay the mind's instructions down to the hand. It happens in millimicroseconds (otherwise your hand would be in pretty bad shape).

You may try Vilayanur S. Ramachandran's works if you love reading. He is the director of Center for Brain and Cognition at the University of California, San Diego. He has some path breaking theories about brain-mind relationship, apart from other equally amazing findings about phantom limbs et al.
His works: 1. Phantoms in the Brain. 2. The Emerging Mind.

The brain is the physical organ, soft tissue with folds, etc. The mind is the result of the network of neurons, etc. that processes information, holds memories, etc. Obviously this is a very basic answer. For more information, check out books by Eric Kandel, like "In Search of Memory: The Emergence of a New Science of Mind."

Reader's Digest had an editorial about inutition & an attempt to learn it. precis of between the information factors: A firefighting crew replaced into scuffling with a blaze & their chief halted their efforts & pulled them out of the progression. Seconds later the hearth flashed over. Then the floor the adult males were status on collapsed into the basement. The crew would have perished. at the same time as requested the chief ought to provide no certain clarification for his action. Probing diagnosis concluded that the hearth had no longer spoke back to the efforts of the crew the way a fireplace would opt to have, depending on the adventure of the chief with fires. This brought about him to adventure one of those cognitive dissonance between the international he replaced into seeing & his style of the international (vis a vis quenching a blaze). however unrecognized on the time, this unease led him to retreat. it type of feels then that intuitionis no longer a skill of the mind as is the suggestions, neither is it the outcome of psychological methods on my own. The actual sensory gadget should be in touch, a minimum of in the examples that were studied. b- Now, what of an intuitive reaction to a only psychological adventure? as an get jointly, evaluate someone like Einstein reasoning about straightforward physics. Sensory information is largely, if no longer totally, absent & yet instinct, at cases, looks to play a position. This seems commonly utilized in arithmetic. Is arithmetic frequently instinct at artwork or is it a college different from instinct? as an get jointly, ought it only be seen as incredibly-more suitable inventive ability? beside the point playstation : i imagine Spell Checking is broke. "yet another 1/2-baked kerbside worthless opinion for at present!"

The brain is material (size, no consciousness), and the mind is spirit (no size, consciousness). The mind is the perceiver of the mental image and the brain is not. There is a unity between mind and brain but they are not the same substance.
