Yes but there would have to be very strict osntrols surrounding it and it would have to be done in a controlled environment such as a hospital. Imagine if someone killed a person and stood up in court and said "it was a mercy killing, they wanted to die" and there was no way of convicting them or murder.

Most definitely not.

First we said it was okay to kill unborn babies.

Now we're pondering the idea of saying it's okay to kill terminally ill people -- never mind if a cure for their illness is found shortly after their death that could have saved them.

What's next? Saying it's okay to kill old people? The severely physically disabled? The mentally disabled? Homeless people? People who don't agree with the reigning president or political party?

Besides, "mercy killing" has been legalized in Holland -- now there are news reports coming out that in some cases, it's been done on people who did not give consent or who were not even terminally ill. And in some cases, on babies who were born with disabilities.

Sorry, but this whole idea is creepy.

Mercy killing is not legal in Oregon.

No, because we dont have the right to take someone ealses life, even if they ask for it. We are not the judge of that.
