I'm curious why you even ask, since clearly most people are in favor of it.
If you know the pros and now want the cons...here's a similar question: What's wrong with being a black male and having a black girlfriend?

Here's another thing to think about...would you love her if she had your baby? Would you love and respect her as much as a black woman or a black mother of your child?

Along the same lines: Wouldn't you share a closer bond with someone of your own racial background in the long run?

One last thing. White (European) women of child bearing age only make up about 2% of the world's population (believe it or not) and most suffer from reduced fertility. Of course as a white woman (only about 5% of the world's population) I am concerned by our dwindling population. This isn't a statement against anyone. I am just voicing a concern that white people are the only population in the world that is in decline. I would personally rather see a white woman with a white man.

So now you have the pros (over 50 of them here) and a handful of cons. You decide.
One more food for thought...If you have to ask, perhaps you would be better off as friends.

It's not that there is something wrong with it but I will tell you this, I have asked many of my black male friends why they chose to be with white girls and some were honest enough to say that it's because they can get away with so much more, white girls don't question them as much, they are always spending money on their man (whether they deserve it or not) and they love the logs that alot of you carry around in your pants. So if you come across the black chick that looks at you crazy when you are with your girl just keep it moving and don't give a second thought. I hope that you are not with your girl for any of the reasons that some brothas admitted to me they were with their girls for.

NOTHING nor anything wrong being white male with a black girlfriend. One time the country of Brazil did not permit it, now Brazil has a brown race, believe the world will be brown some day.

Nothing at all as long as they Love each other.

But unfortunately not all people think the same.

SOME black people feel a black man should only go out with a black woman and SOME white people feel a white woman should only go with a white man.

Remember that if you are attracted to someone regardless of their skin tone and/or even gender then go with what is in your heart and not what are other people's standards.

I could care less what is the shade of your skin but rather what is in your Heart and Soul.

Nothing I see it all the time. Black males going out with white females. I don't know why some people make a big deal over stupid things like that.

What I want to know is Why do black guys have to have white gf's? Is there something wrong with the Black ladies? I see some that are mighty fine looking, but something has to give for a black man to turn on his own people. If I were a black woman I would be pissed if the male of my race felt he was too good for a black woman. Too bad black lay wont give a mexican a chance. We show them how a woman should be treated.

Just for the record, I don't care. But here are the stats from those I know :
I know 10 (9 personally and 1 Celeberty) white women dated/married black men. Here the breakdown:
Of the 10 white women
2 Have been murdered by their black lovers
7 Are divorced with Mix race kids, no child support and on welfare.
1 Is still with her man, they never married but have 2 kids.
4 Have been given a STD from their man (2 HIV+)
1 Has crack habit (and she was a good God Fearing Church going girl before she met him, no drinking, drugs, no parties nothing)
8 Have been abused multiple times (includes one of the dead, who was raped, beaten and left on a railroad track to die (he got the death penealty)

Now while this does not apply across the board, what are the odds of these results with just 10 aquintences? And For those who need to know, I am Mexican! Not hispanic. I am from Mexico! That makes me Mexican. People from America are Americans, so I can be a mexican. Africa are Africans. If you waste your time worrying about what name someone calls you, you have bigger issues than race. Get over it and go on with life. Do like the white people. They don't care what you call them. Look at Chris Rock, he calls them cracker on national tv and nobody says anything. You really think all white people have slaves? Get serious! White people do 2 things. Work and provide jobs. America is great because of them. Name one other race that has done as much for thier own people and other races? Arabs? Are you kidding? They kill each other fast as they can? Africans? Please, they have warlords to take over hospitals and kill people and take food from the other people. That is why famine runs loose over there. All about killing people. Even Mexicans are poor but we do not blame white people for our problems. Mexico doesn't help us, they are a cartel too. Fox doesn't know how to be president and he critzises bush. What has he done?

Peace to all

Nothing...I was always told love is color blind. I love ALL people. If someone has a problem with it, that is usually how they were brought up. It comes from a long line of racist idiots. I see people for what they are not the color of their skin, but unfortunately not everyone has the same point of view. Times have changed. Alot more people are accepting it, but you will still have those who will have some rude remark or nasty glare. I don't care what other people think. It's each persons life to live how they wanna and if I want to date a green guy with purple hair PEOPLE CAN JUST DEAL WITH IT OR TURN THEIR HEAD. I won't lose any sleep over it!

No difference in being a Black Girl, having a White Boyfriend. Love has no color, boundaries,or sterotypes. People don't fall in love with skin color (even a mere pimple does'nt stop matters of the heart). If this question is about you, then "go for it". If the lady in question is respectable, cares about you as well as others, has a good head on her shoulders, and totally fells the same way about you, then go ahead and enjoy each other!. Life is too short. Don't let someone else try to pick and choose who you should fall in love with, especially if it has to do with the color of their skin.

It is ironic that the same people who claim others are "ignorant" also believe that the only difference between the races lies in skin color. If these people, who clearly claim knowledge on the subject, did even an iota of research they would learn quite the opposite.

There are distinct and real differences in the races of the world. We have taken different paths of evolution for hundreds of thousands of years and this has resulted in marked differences. If you look at virtually any indicator of proficiency in any field, you will find that there are wide and varied differences between different races. Blacks, for instance, show a particular proclivity towards athletics, with whites moderately so, and asians the least. The opposite is true for IQ and other intelligence tests. Patterns exist along racial lines in virtually any category, HIV infection rates, out-of-wedlock births, proclivity to commit crimes, proclivity to the Arts, proclivity to the Sciences, proclivity towards certain diseases and illnesses, and many, many more areas of study.

It is not RACIST to note these differences and understand that they come from people's genetic history, it is realistic. To see these statistics, from all over the world, and to deny them, is foolish and delusional.

So the question is, does it bother you that by mixing you are losing thousands of years of genetic heritage, losing what makes you and your people unique, and what defines you as a separate, distinct group of people?

Absolutely nothing, as long as you treat her right. There's nothing wrong with being a white guy and having a black girlfriend either, same parameters apply. Our (white) son married a black gal, who is a wonderful daughter-in-law and mother to six gorgeous kids. Aren't we lucky?
