Probably you have an adware program on your computer. Adware is the name for those programs that install on your computer while you surf the web, most of the time you don't even notice it.
A program that can help you out with that is Ad-aware, just look it up, download, install and run it. It's pretty easy to use.
Hope this helps you
Sorry if my English isn't that good. Bye

Check for viruses and trojans, I had one the other day that gave me random pop ups to random websites, fortunately that was as bad as it got but they were annoying all the same. Check for extra icons in your taskbar, and if you have any dodgy or new icons then find out what program it is. Then enter the file or program name into Yahoo's search engine and there will (hopefully) be a program to delete it.

Otherwise do a scan with Spybot S&D and Adaware.

Adaware can be found here: http://www.lavasoft.com/

Use another browser like Mozilla Firefox that automatically blocks pop-ups. You'll rarely have to worry about them ever again.

I use Firefox (with built-in pop-up blocker) and the Google toolbar (with pop-up blocker turned on), and the combination does *really* well for me.

There are coders out there who have defeated pop up software. This will be a never ending battle.

If they are coming through in large numbers, you have adware.

Download the Yahoo Antispyware, and have it scan your computer.
