My favorite Harry Potter character is Hermione. Being a mudblood must not be easy in the wizarding world. Being an African-American woman who is married to a Caucasian man is sometimes hard for me. I know what it is like to want to be accepted for who you are and not what you are, so I like her. Plus, she is the smartest of the trio further proving women are smarter than men *smile* (j/k)

I actually have a few. Hagrid's a favorite. He's got a huge heart and his intentions are always good, but he's always letting slip information he's supposed to keep a secret. He never fails to crack me up.

Ron's another. He's not afraid to show his fear, but it never stops him from backing Harry up and going headfirst into dangerous situations which in my eyes makes him the bravest of the three.

The two most interesting characters in the series, though, are without a doubt Sirius and Snape. Sirius is a tragic figure, reckless and rash, but always with Harry's best interest at heart. Years in Azkaban left him a little neurotic and slightly less mature than perhaps he should be (compare him to Lupin), but he moves heaven and earth repeatedly to come to Harry's aide.

Snape is without a doubt the most complex character in recent fiction. Always interesting and ambiguous, he's protected Harry countless times despite the loathing and animosity between them. As his reasons for all of his actions come to light in the last book, I think he'll prove the most in-depth and interesting character of the series.

My maximum recommendations-blowing commonplace is Ron. i do no longer comprehend why. I also like Fred and George, Sirius (I cried for a million/2 an hour for his lack of existence), Professor McGonagall (she's so dynamic), Neville, Luna (very exciting), Hermione, Hagrid and obviously Harry.

Other than Harry, I like Ron's mom. She is the "Betty Crocker" mom of their realm. She always makes time for any child of hers, mends things, cooks, and all the while if she doesn't have time to do something, with a flip of the wrist and a wave of her wand, she'll get it done. She's that mom that I would like to be for my daughter.
