perchance there is a few water left in it. Ive heard in case you're taking the battery out and positioned the phone and battery in a ziplock again with rice the rice may also help remove moisture. Its worth a shot. reliable success

I'm afraid you'll have to get a new one. Unfortanatly, cell phone batteries don't last forever.
