My daughter has the middle name Reagan (I personally LIKED Pres Reagan and that's why we gave her that name). As far as the whole thing about the exorcist movie, phooey on it. People still get named Carrie (and even have tv shows with characters of that name - think about hbo's long running series), Johnny, Christine, and a plethora of other names that may or may not have negative connotations.
Go with what you and your husband like and don't worry about what other people think.

It's a very nice name. When the baby arrives and you see her, you may decide that she doesn't look like a Reagan, so have some optional names just in case.

I loved that name, sound unusual and unique... Here's some information about that name just for you from me...
REAGAN
Gender: Masculine & Feminine
Usage: English, Irish
From an Irish surname which was derived from Ó Ríagáin meaning "descendent of Riagán". The name Riagán possibly means "little king" in Gaelic.
Hopefully those info can help you...
Take care and happy choosing...
Dee

I like it. I know a little girl named Reagan. I would have maybe used it if her name wasn't that. Hey at least your not thinking of Apple or Coco like famous people.

It is a perfectly fine name for a girl. Although when I was in school we always called this girl "Ronald" instead of Reagan. And we were always saying "tell us about Star Wars, Ronald." Ha ha. That was fun.

Very Shakespearean, but wasn't Reagan one of the "bad" daughters?

I think if you like it then go with it. Nobody liked the name I picked out for my girl at first but it stuck with me. (Leighanna Le'Shae). I like the name Chaylee Rachelle I think it is so cute.. and Aiden Joshua or Nathaniel for a little boy. Their not that common. plus Chaylee and Nathaniel both mean gift from God. Just like Mine and my brother's name mean Christ Bearer. So I thought that was neat. But like I said if you feel it's the one you want don't change it b/c someone tells you to. It's your choice and I'm sure you'll pick out just the right one.
