It's a lot more convienent than taking a pill every day, a lot less painful than getting a shot once a month, and way less noticeable than wearing a patch.

Also, my doctor said that it's more effective than the pill because the hormones don't need to travel from my mouth to my reproductive system. Because of this, they don't need to put in as much of the hormone, so it's a lower dose.

It doesn't get in the way of anything and neither I nor my significant other can feel it. If your significant other did feel it, though, you can take it out for up to two hours without it losing its effectiveness.

Also, the ring starts working 2 hours after you put it in.. not after 1 month like the pill.

After I was on the pill for several years, I started developing some gynecological problems- it affected my period and I was getting frequent infections. My doctor said the risk of that occuring with the NuvaRing is lower.

You don't have to think about it. I LOVE it.

Granted, it does have a tendency to peek out once in a while, but it has always worked itself out.

It's brilliant. Just make it a tiny bit smaller.
