yes, but make sure it's first foods and water the juice down with 1/2 water (like in a 6 oz bottle, give 3 oz water and 3 oz juice)
and no more than 6 oz of juice per day

Yes, at 6 months old it should be fine. You should start with very runny rice cereal though, if you haven't already. Once the baby is eating that, then start with jar foods. be sure to start with one
food at a time to rule out allergies. For example, start on applesauce today and feed the same thing adding nothing new for a full 7 days before introducing anything else. In 7 days you can add another food, ex. pears. Feed pears for a full 7, then start another. Don't give mixed foods unless it is something that the baby has had already.
As for the juice, start the same way with one juice at a time. (be sure not to start a new juice and food at the same time, if there is an allergy, you won't know what it is), And try to get the baby to drink the juice out of a cup. Start with about 2 ounces at a time. If it seems to strong and is gagging or making the baby cough dilute with equal amounts of water.
Good Luck!

Im a nutritionist
you have to wait until at least 6 months (just like all other food) but there is no reason to start giving it then
you should never give juice in a bottle (this includes any cup with a valve!! SO NOT IN A SIPPY CUP)
you have to dilute juce 1:1 or more
never give an infant more than 4 oz (150ml) of juice
water is a better drink for your baby (again after 6 months)
feeding them fruit is better than fruit juice (even 100% juice)

Absolutely. I started at 5 1/2 months with me son. Dilute the apple juice w/ water 50/50 for starters. Give the Baby stage 1 baby food (the organic baby food is great) and add a little baby cereal for iron

I started my son out on jar foods at 4 months, he's fine. he's 11 mo. now and eating dairy and all sorts of goodies. if you do feed your child jar foods and apple juice, here are some good tips to go by:
1. make sure at first he is only eating stage 1 jar foods, because the stages become more chunky and solid as they go, like the 3rd one has chunks a little one could choke on.
2. with juice, buy the single serving jars, and empty one iinto a cup, then fill the little jar up with drinking water, and empty that in with the juice. juices are very acidic, and you want to be careful of apples and oranges.
3. instead of jar foods and juices, you may want to try feeding him/her rice cereal. if they take to that they'll eat anything.
p.s. congratulations on your baby!

hey um, mrs. britney spears k-fed why don't u buy Babies for Dummies? I mean really, driving with the kid on your lap, changing his diaper on the floor at Victoria Secret? What next, gonna hang a wet blanket over his head and dangle him off a balcony by the feet off? BEtter yet, play date with Michael Jackson's kids? Sorry, had to vent. 6.5 months is a bit too young, but consult your pediatrician as each child's development is different. Besides can you really trust all these projected charts and summarizes of what your baby should be? Let's see, again Britney is a mother on the DCFS radar, and George W. Bush is president and has two cocaine addicted daughters. Very true that the apple doesn't fall from the tree. W was the "source" at his secret society

Your pediatrician will tell you when it is time to introduce food. Usually, you start with very watery rice cereal and work up from there.
As far as juice is concerned, there is absolutely no reason to give your baby or child juice unless recommended by a physician to treat a medical problem. There is no nutritional content in juice except maybe orange juice which is WAY too acidic for an infant.

Yes. Most babies are ready for solids at 4 months old. They are more active now and need more calories. You should start with rice cereal and then go to oatmeal cereal.Introduce wheat cereal and mixed cereals last since they may cause allergic reactions. Once your baby has accepted cereal you can start feeding him/her vegetables then fruits then meats.Eggs are introduced last because of allergic reactions. He/she should have three daily meals. And be eating about 4 ounces each time. You can also give juice now. Just delay the orange juice and other citrus fruits untill last.Just don't give him/her too much juice. It can cause painful diaper rash.

Yes, but dilute the juice, 1/2 water and 1/2 juice. You can use jar food, but to make your own is healthier and cheaper.
BTW My pediatrician said to put my son on rice cereal, he was eating burgers and fries.

According to the WIC program a child is supposed to be using a sippy cup by 6 months. And my doctor said it was okay to give babies juice sparingly as young as 2 months if you dilute it to a 1to1 ratio (1 oz. juice, 1oz. water) but not to exceed one serving per day. And as for baby food you could have started it a few months ago as a suppliment with breastmilk or formula.
