Gay,Lesbian,Bi-Sexual, differentiate for everyone ChildMolesters, Pedifiles???????

Two people,(malefemale), consenting to sex with each other as adults, young adults, or elderly. If the sex in consentual, Doesn't matter to me what you do, live your life the way you see fit.

ChildMolesters, Pedofiles whatever you want to call them. Would the gay community please speak up and support the children and their families who have been victimized by one of these monsters. When my son was 14 he was attacked by a local business man that lived on our street. Other than God, my biggest comfort came from 1 lady that emailed me and told me the gay community does not approve of such acts. She said when it came to children everything sexual was completely off limits. She encouraged me and my son. We have never disliked anyone who was gay but the child molester is a different story. Thanks

This question seems to be confusing to some and they have solid things to say, but the issue as most are understanding is society as a whole should be aware that it isn't the gay couple that lives next door that is molesting our children. The gay community is sometimes looked at as if they are causing all the riff, I have nothing(if you will read) against any gay person that I know personally or that is a stranger. I would rather stay in a motel where a gay convention is going on with my grand-daughters than a place where a construction crew is staying. I did not ask for an apology from anyone. However, I do think that the point should be made there is a difference-a big difference

I'm horrified by what happened to your son.
I assure you that for my entire life, the gay community has been completely against child molesters/pedophiles. I have never met a gay person who supported that behavior. We are no different than straight people. We don't want our children or yours to be the victims of such disgusting abuse.

The vast majority of pedophiles are straight men who molest little girls. Less than ten percent of all child rape cases involve men who claim to be homosexual. The difference is gay men want to love and be loved by other gay MEN... and the sex that happens is just a wonderful side effect of the relationship. Pedophiles are people who are sexually interested in children.

There has always been a difference. We have always been against it. When one of our own does this violence to a child, society blames us all...

I hope and pray your son recovers from this and manages to have a successful and happy life. I also wish the same for you. It must have been nearly hell to deal with this as a parent.

Straight men are more likely to molest or even rape boys than girls not because of Sexuality but because boys feel comfortable hanging out with an older man but not for anything sexual. More like a Father and Son situation.

The Lesbian and Gay community at large does not condone Pedophile and Child Molester's actions towards any children.

They hurt children that that is not what being Gay is all about.

I was raised believing that that's what Gays did because that was taught to me by my family and Society. And it still is being taught to children that Gays will Rape or Molest them.

I am sorry for your son and wish him complete mental and emotional recovery on a situation like this. Be there for him, like you are now, to help him cope with this heinous act of evil.

Whoa! Being Gay and being a Pedophile are not the same thing, and do NOT go hand in hand. 90% of Pedophiles are straight! Only 10 % are gay. Unfortunately, you got caught up into that 10 %. It has nothing to do with sexuality preference...male/male, female/female, male/female, but an illness that is dispicable..and is NOT curable. Once a pedophile, always a pedophile. IN fact, I do not think pedophiles should EVER be released from prison. Period. There is no cure rate! And GAYS hate pedophiles. .. just like everyone else does. It goes without speaking.

It's not the role of the gay community to repudiate child molesters. They have nothing to do with us. We have nothing to do with them. We're not responsible for their actions. Why are you asking us for an apology? Its completely irrelevent. You might as well ask Eskimos to address child molesters or people who enjoy bowling. I don't know anyone who approves of child molestation except fundamentalists and other child molesters.

Child Molestation sucks. I know this first hand. It's hard to have you kid get assaulted, and it's just as hard to date a child molestation survivor. There are things that my girlfriend will always feel or fear because some f*cker with a sense of entitlement to her body decided that it was ok to molest her for three years. On top of that, he was a family friend, and despite what he did to her, her aunt still invites him to family gatherings. So far she has been lucky to have avoided him - mostly by avoiding any party thrown by her aunt. But if I ever see him, I'm going to have a hard time sticking to my beliefs in pacifism and not beat him within an inch of his life. I'm no stranger to how much child molestation deeply and truely sucks.

But the gay community has nothing to do with it. They didn't make him molest my girlfriend and they didn't make some a$$hole molest your son. So I'm not really sure what you're looking for here.

I cannot imagine to molest a child/boy/young man. I have a partner and I am a conscious person, not an animal. And Children and young people are very sensitive and it is very easy to destroy a life for such horrible acts against them. Definitely, I'm against every kind of Pedofile. I love respect for all people.

A feeling of content comes upon us after we have enjoyed good meal. However, it need not always be a happy occasion. Thus being content is not the same as being happy. Here in London, when a vote is taken in the House of Lords, their Lordships are asked to vote either 'content' or 'noncontent' and when the votes are counted and if the 'noncontents' win, this means that the 'contents' have lost and are therefore unhappy. I think the above explains it quite well really.

The statistics show that most child molesters are straight - that's the main difference.

Most gay people, and straight people, abhor sex with minors. People who perform these acts, and rape, are sometimes acting more on a desire for power and not sex.

Child Molesters are disgusting law breakers. They are in no way synonymous with the gay community. I was molested by my straight uncle, that doesn't mean all pedophiles are straight. It's crazy that some people actually think this.

Homosexuality and pedophilia are mutually exclusive. Homo sexuals don't condone perversion any more than heterosexuals do, and I agree with you that those in the gay community need to make that more clear. Same-sex unions are as much based on love, respect, and friendship as much as heterosexual unions are .. not the molesting of innocent children.

I agree with you. There is a BIG, BIG difference in a child vs. a grown, consenting adult. Why anyone would want to rob a child of their innocence is beyond my relm of comprehension. I'm so sorry that this happened to your son. I appreciate that you know that not all gays/lesbians are pedifiles.
