Actually, you'd be amazed as to how many people will only buy something if they have a coupon for it. Also, if the coupon makes a similar product to the one you use cheaper, most people will try the other. For smaller business, this becomes less effective due to printing, supply and mailing costs outweighing the effectiveness.
