I would also like to have free streming data (whether be it real time or end of day). If that website or program I am looking for can provide both streaming data and technical analysis, that would be fantastic !!

You can start by going to the Kitco gold and commodities web-site that will give you many buisness links to markets and real-time gold and platinum, silver etc. info. Then study the Reuters web-site for buisness and keep following the links for buisnes info.

There are actually so many sites out there doing this. My favorite is Yahoo, which gives you not only technical analysis, but fundamental analysis, streaming data, so far the most complete web site on stock information. Go to my.yahoo.com(you can set up your own portfolio), or finance.yahoo.com.
www.prophet.net has really good TA and chart, click Analyze then Javachart, but as a free user you can have only one portfolio/watch list.
www.stockcharts.com has good TA chart too, but as free user no portfolio/watch list.
