what is the best kind of foundation that works, like covers you up but doesnt make your face look really pastey or oily. And what kind of mascara is best to use in the summer, but makes your lashes look long and thick?

first, depending on your skin type, go to the drug or dept. store and look for something that is made just for your complexion...oily, dry or combination or even sensitive...then,, just get a waterproof so you can swim, sweat and cry or whatever, all companies make them now, and look for a lengthening type and you will be fine....

I'm not sure about the mascara thing. No mascara I have ever tried didn't run some in the hot summer. I can recommend "Larenim" makeup. Larenim is mineral make-up that is applied with a brush, similar to "Bare Minerals". It never feels like it will slide off my face and is so light that I forget I'm wearing make-up. It is pricey, but well worth the money.

Try Physician Formula, Virtual Pearl powder. It is not thick at all and does wonders for distracting the viewer from the flaws. I am very oily too, but I love this. Re Mascara, try Loreal Voluminous in waterproof version.

My favorite foundation is Loreal ColorStay. I've used it for about 7 years, and it stays all day. They just changed the "formula" so it's more natural looking, but still awesome coverage.

My favorite mascara is Mary Kay. It makes my lashes look super thick and long without looking cakey. You can get it at their website.

I totally recommend MAC Studio Fix. It's a powder/foundation combo and it doesn't look pasty at all, especially if you apply it with a brush instead of the sponge. It also has really good coverage. They have a really wide colour range as well, so it should be easy to match your skin type. And the make-up artists are really nice and helpful (note: they are actual make-up artists)

Use a tinted moisterizer and MAC studio fix powder. I really like Maybelline's lash discovery mascara b/c it helps find all the little lashes that some bigger wands clump together

Maybelline unstoppable mascara is waterproof for swimming, but lenghtens, volumizes and curls lashes. Clinique foundation is good because it is sheer but gives good coverage.
