Basically I want to set up a referal program where if someone refers someone to me and they buy, I reward the person who referred them. My original idea was going to be, I made cards that explained the program and inclosed my business cards and the person who refers the clients to me would write their name and number on the back of the card and if the person who bought presented me with it, I would reward the referrer with a $25 cash bonus. Apparently that is illegal and called "birddogging" and I want to know if there is a way around it. Please help!

Where do you live? As far as I know bird doging is perfectly fine. I used to work at a car dealership in HS as a porter. If a friend or family bought a car from my referral I got $50.00, same when I bought my new car a few years ago. The salesman told me right out. So maybe in Illinois it's ok.

I'm not aware of it being illegal, unless it's a state or municipal code. You may want to check with a Chamber of Commerce on that. Credit Unions and car dealerships do it all the time, as do companies who ask "Who referred you?"

Besides, I don't think that anyone who makes the $25 would turn you in.

There are over 6 billion human beings on our planet. to assume that there is largely one which you will have an invaluable relationship with is slightly naive. once you're fortunate, you nonetheless locate the guy captivating after the honeymoon era, and something is artwork to maintain that going. A "soul mate" is a intense-high quality concept, yet i do no longer think of it particularly is in any respect lifelike.
