Because everything in this universe was created by a GENIUS - that is God. The universe did not suddenly appear by a big bang. If you believe that, I must ask you - how did the big bang happen? What made that? You can't have nothing and then an explosion and then a universe. BUT you can have God and then the creation of life as we know it. It just makes sense.

We do not know. Some of us have faith, others of us think that a belief in an invisible omnipotent skydaddy is pretty darn foolish.
Different strokes for sane and insane people. Takes all kinds to make a mess of the planet.

It seems that there are 2 parts to your question.
1. How do we know there is a God
2. How do we know he is superpowerful.
The first question ask us to define god. I have attached a link to Dictionary.com which gives us a short list, but for our purposes we will use the second of these. "A being of supernatural powers or attributes, believed in and worshiped by a people, especially a male deity thought to control some part of nature or reality."
We can not deny that there is some deity or at least the idea of a diety that is "belived in" so let us look more closely on the aspect of control. If a person understands odds and percentages then that person should apply the same aspects of understanding to the odds of spontateous creation, such as the initial theory of evolution. The odds that the required parameters would come together in any one place are equal as least relatively of one single person winning the same lottery everyday for a year. Not impossible, but so improbable as to be discounted as farce. Now take that one step further and look at the intricate nature of nature itself. I refer not to the balance of life, as such a balance follows natural laws that we understand at least to soime degree. But instead I refer to the overall structure of life itself, and the clues it gives us about an external force, or GOD, and the patterns he/she/it chooses to follow. Take for example the so called devine Number, 1.618... also referd to as the golden number. This ratio, which describes everything from the placement of marking on a butterfly's wings to the structure of the human body, as well as the shape and proportions of everything from shells to trees, is a virtual constant in all living things. Such structure can not be considered coincedence and, due to the wide variety of creatures and plants in which it appears, cannot be said to apply to any specific scientific law such as DNA pattern.
Let us look at the concept of evolution itself for yet another clue. There is a concept I refer to as mutually exclusive adaptaions. What I mean by this is that a number of benificial adaptations found in the animal kingdom are, by themselves not enough to insure the survival of the species. A bat, at some point developed the ability to emit High frequency sounds. This mutation would not be benificial unless it had, at the same time, developed large enough ears to be able to discern these sounds. This same mutation would have only limited use unless the creature in question also developed the ability to fly, maximizing its ability to use those other mutations to there fullest. Without all three in combination tehse changes would not be succesfull enough to justify the theory of "Survival of the Fittest" and therefore speak to an outside source manipulating the growth and developement of the species.

As to the second question, this is the simplest of the two. The reason for this is that the term "Superpowerful" applies to any being or diety whose abilities tro effect the world around them exceed that of the normal human being. If the argument for question one is true, then it follows that Gods ability to effect the surrounding universe does indeed exceed that of any known being. We may learn some of the methods of effecting these things, but for now must understand that there is Some force outside of natural laws effecting the universe and keeping all things in balance. To qoute, or at least paraphrase Einstein, "God does not play dice with the Universe."

we don't know. we have faith or we don't .if u had the faith I'm talking about u wouldn't be asking! so that being said i often wander if there is a god too and if so we r both going to hell for doubting him....and why is it that we r allowed to believe in an all mighty powerfull source that we cant see but if we talk about aliens or supernatural beings then we r sent to the closest nut farm with padded walls

You want to know how we know there is a God....that is something you can even ask Him ( believe it or not) to prove to you.How do you know there is a wind & breezes, things we can see, hear , taste, touch & feel ....how do you know a chair will hold you when you sit down on it, or a bed when you lay down on it ...you have faith (believe) that these things are or will do what they are designed to do, right? The same principle applies to knowing there is a God who is all powerful. The best way for you to know for yourself is to ask Him to prove to you that He is there.

Well, I have this theory...

Scriptures say that "God is Love" and "God is a Spirit". I feel that if we can find the "right path", the "right understanding", that Love, the Spirit can move mountains!

Again, it's just a theory.

Peace.

Because you wake up every day, oxygen is always there, food is provided for you, the sun rising & setting every day. Someone keeps all this in motion, it doesn't happen by itself.

If you seek God with all of your heart through his word and through prayer and meditation ... God will reveal himself to you in such a way that there is no doubt.
